About This Spot

Trigg Beach is one of Perth’s most popular surf spots, featuring rugged limestone outcrops, golden sand, and clear blue waves. It’s a favourite for surfers and photographers alike — especially during sunrise and sunset when the light creates magical reflections on wet sand.

Drone Info

Drone use is allowed at Trigg Beach but exercise caution near swimmers and surfers. Fly during low-traffic times (early morning or late afternoon) and maintain a safe distance from the surf life saving club. Aerial shots of the beach and nearby reef formations are stunning in low light.

Camera Info

Use a wide-angle lens (16–35mm) for capturing the entire beach curve and limestone formations. A telephoto lens (70–200mm) is great for surf shots. Long exposures with a tripod and ND filter can blur water movement beautifully during golden hour.

When to Visit

Ideal during autumn and spring, especially on clear mornings or just after sunset. Weekdays offer more solitude for filming and photography.

Shoot With Care

Stay off fragile limestone and reef areas. Avoid flying drones near lifeguards or flagged swim zones. Respect early morning joggers and beachgoers.
